I am beyond excited to introduce my new book, Breaking Free from People-Pleasing, which will be released on April 1, 2025. This book is deeply personal to me, as it reflects the challenges I have seen so many clients struggle with—and perhaps you have too. People-pleasing can feel like an endless cycle of saying “yes” when you mean “no,” sacrificing your needs for others, and feeling overwhelmed by guilt when you try to set boundaries. If that sounds familiar, this book is for you.

Why I Wrote This Book

As a therapist, I have worked with so many individuals who feel trapped by the need to please others. They struggle with boundaries, fear disappointing people, and often feel drained from constantly putting others first. People-pleasing isn’t just a harmless habit—it’s a deeply ingrained pattern that can affect self-worth, relationships, and mental health.

I wrote Breaking Free from People-Pleasing because I want to help you understand where these patterns come from, how they impact your life, and, most importantly, how to change them. You don’t have to stay stuck in this cycle. Change is possible, and this book will show you how.

Who This Book Is For

This book is for anyone who:

  • Struggles to say “no” and feels guilty when they do

  • Finds themselves overcommitting and feeling exhausted

  • Fears conflict and prioritizes others’ needs over their own

  • Feels resentment in relationships but doesn’t know how to express their needs

  • Wants to set healthier boundaries but doesn’t know where to start

If you see yourself in any of these descriptions, Breaking Free from People-Pleasing will give you the tools and insights you need to shift these patterns and start prioritizing yourself without guilt.

What You’ll Learn

In Breaking Free from People-Pleasing, you’ll discover:

  • The root causes of people-pleasing and why it develops

  • The connection between people-pleasing and trauma

  • How to identify and challenge the beliefs that keep you stuck

  • Practical strategies to set boundaries and communicate assertively

  • How to prioritize your own needs without feeling selfish

  • Steps to build confidence and self-worth outside of external validation

Through real-life examples, guided exercises, and actionable steps, you’ll gain the confidence to create a life that feels authentic and fulfilling—one where you are no longer controlled by the fear of disappointing others.
